Annette Kisling Quartier Quartier by Annette Kisling contains photographs that were taken between 2000 and 2006. In the book they appear as a continous series, from which many connections may develop. Quartier can be seen as the description of a location in which planned and existing architectures and natures are in relation to each other. With a text by Stefan Ripplinger. Design: Annette Kisling and Stephan Fiedler.   Annette Kisling (*1965) lives in Berlin and Rotterdam. She studied Visual Communication in Kassel, Offenbach und Hamburg. Annette Kisling takes photographs, exhibits and publishes. She is represented by Galerie Kamm in Berlin. In photographic series, she describes her experiences with the surrounding architecture. Thus, in Spring 2007, she created an extensive series about the 'Hansaviertel' in Berlin. Currently, she is working on a group of images that were taken during her stay at the Citÿ des Arts in Paris. In late summer 2007, she will be a guest of the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas.
