de)flection #1: Lucile Desamory: Le Coin du Diable Lucile Desamory has created an audio-visual world, mixing paper-collages, stop motion and musical films. Working with found materials such as encyclopedic illustration and magazine photographs, she produces rich and dreamlike pictures. For Le Coin du Diable she created from these a surreal picture book about desies between dream and awakening. She has shown her films and performed live across Europe, most recently at The Modern Institute in Glasgow, the Fondation Cartier in Paris, the British Film Institute in London and Volksbühne in Berlin. Recent gallery exhibitions include Haswellediger, New York, Eldorado at Galerie Drantmann, Brussels, Nomadenoase, Hamburg, and a collaborative installation with Lucy McKenzie and Birgit Megerle at Talbot Rice Gallery, Edinburgh, Galerie Meerrettich, Berlin, and Cabinet Gallery, London.
