Marko Ciciliani

Marko Ciciliani is a composer, audiovisual artist and performer. His main artistic focus lies on the performative use of electronics in combination with light, laser design and/or live generated video. His works, which have been performed in more than 45 countries, evade the categorization to individual genres, and can thus be found at festivals of post-avant-garde music such as Donaueschinger Musiktage, or the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival; just as well as festivals or concert series of experimental electronic music, such as at the ZKM/Karlsruhe, or Ibrasotope/Sao Paulo; or in media art centers, such as Ars Electronica/Linz or iMAL/Brussels. Ciciliani is  tenured Professor for computer music composition at the Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics (IEM) of the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. In 2014, 16 and 18 he was tutor for composition at the International Summer Courses in Darmstadt. Since 2020 he is artistic director of the summer workshop ChampdAction.LAbO for intermedia art and the Festival TimeCanvas in Antwerp.
