THE GREEN BOX and Gitte Weise Gallery have the pleasure
to invite you to a presentation of the Limited Edition of Sarah Ryan's The Clearing,
on Saturday, 12 December 2009, from 4pm until 6pm,
at Gitte Weise Gallery,
Tucholskystr. 47, 10117 Berlin.
For 10 years Sarah Ryan has been experimenting with lenticular photography. With this technique, she has continuously been expanding the limitations of the medium. It is her goal to explore the borders of instability and distance and thus create images of complex intensity, which mediate effects of three-dimensionality and movement.
The Limited Edition of The Clearing includes a lenticular photograph by Sarah Ryan (115 x 88 mm, edition: 25, numbered and signed; this Limited Edition is available at the price of Euro 150,–).

Präsentation der Limitierten Edition zu Sarah Ryans The Clearing einzuladen,
am Samstag, dem 12. Dezember 2009, von 16 bis 18 Uhr,
in der Gitte Weise Gallery,
Tucholskystr. 47, 10117 Berlin.
Seit 10 Jahren experimentiert Sarah Ryan in ihren Fotoarbeiten mit der Lentikular-Technik – die durch ein Linsenraster in der Oberflächenstruktur mehrere Fotografien in einem Bild vereint. In der Auseinandersetzung mit dieser sehr speziellen Darstellungsweise erweitert sie stets aufs Neue die gewohnten Beschränkungen des Mediums. Ihr Ziel ist es, die Grenzen von Entfernung und Instabilität zu erforschen und dadurch Bilder komplexer Intensität zu kreieren, welche optische Effekte von Dreidimensionalität und/oder Bewegung vermitteln.
