Maarten Janssen

Maarten Janssen (born in 1960 in Rijswijk, Netherlands) studied at the Academie van Beeldende Kunsten Rotterdam. He lives and works in Rotterdam and Berlin.
The autonomy of the image is the recurring proposition in the analytical works of Janssen. By objectifying processes of decision-making, Janssen seeks to enable the work to describe itself as resulting from intrinsic causes.
