Anja Lutz studied at the London College of Printing and the Jan van Eyck Akademie (MA Design). Since 1994 she works as a freelance book designer for artists, publishers and cultural institutions (Hatje Cantz, dgv–Die Gestalten Verlag, Jan van Eyck Editions, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlinische Galerie etc.). Since 1995, she is initiator and art director of the international art and design project shift!, that has been presented at numerous festivals, exhibitions and lectures. She received the European Adobe Design Award, was Visiting Professor at the American University of Beirut, lecturer at Bauhaus Universität Weimer and Universität der Künste Berlin, and also Fellow at the Akademie Schloss Solitude.
Janine Sack studied Visual Communication at the Art School in Hamburg and was post-graduate student at Royal Art Academy in Stockholm. She has worked so far as graphic designer, artist and teacher in Germany, Sweden and the UK. Between 2008 and 2013 she was Art Director for the weekly newspaper der Freitag. She creates newspapers, magazines, websites and books . Since 2004 she has curated formats like the event series „guestbook“, the exhibition „Revisiting Home“ at the NGBK, Berlin and most recently the art blog „Let’s Talk About Art“. She received numerous awards for the design for „der Freitag“, and scholarships as an artist by The Swedish Arts Grants Committee and the City of Hamburg.
From 2005 until 2013, Axel Lapp was a publisher of The Green Box.
